Sense of Security

Just sharing something that I read and thought it was really touching....Here goes.

Sense of Security

When love is hot and fresh, devoid of obstacles, It can make us all feel invincible. The touch of an angel when she stokes your hair, the scent of her perfume evaporates along with any strangling feelings of doubt. And in your heart, there ignites a warm and solid flame. That is the sense of security. But how long does it last?

We try to keep the fire burning steadily, but the winds are merciless and the flame often flickers, sometimes even extinguishing briefly. But if we are committed and attentive, we quickly reignite it, feeding it twice as much fuel as before. Everyone deserves a sense of security, whether in love, in the workplace, or even alone. Its existence is crucial in establishing trust and cooperation, chemistry and efficiency. Nevertheless, it takes a lot of work, tireless effort, selfless giving and continued dedication.

The mood of this song is set immediately by a steady stream of resounding drums reminiscent of the nervous pounding of and insecure heart. This is the song of someone who mourns the loss of the flame, despite trying desperately to rekindle it. It is a song all too true to my life, as this long distance relationship can be so full of insecurities. As the song progresses, the entire band joins in to support the vocals, adding strength, reflecting the passion required to retrieve that lost feeling. I hope this song gives you strength, and courage, and a sense of security every time you listen to it.

Smile

Baby_smiling

A smile is a curve that helps
to set things straight.....:)

A smile is such
a funny thing
It wrinkles up your face
And when you smile
you'll never find
It's secret hiding place

And for more wonderfulOld_woman_smile
it is
To see what smiles
can bring
I smile at you
You smile at me
And so one smile makes two

Smiling_baby_n_man
Smile...smile
It isn't hard to do
Smile from your heart
And the world....
Smile with you..:)

He's just not that into you

Hes_just_not_that_into_you_1Title: He's just not that into you
the no excuses truth to understanding guys
From a writer and a consultant of Sex and the City

"Six wrods to change your life forever...This book should be on every single woman't nightstand!" Oprah Winfrey

He's not into you if he's:

  • Not asking you out
  • Just too insanely busy to pick up the phone
  • Doesn't like the words 'Relationship' or 'Boyfriend

What you should have learned in the book:

  • An excuse is a polite rejection. Men are not afriad of "ruining the friendship"
  • Don't get tricked into asking him out. if he likes you, he'll do the asking
  • Don't be with someone who doesn't do what they say they're going to do
  • "Busy is another word for "asshole". "Asshole is another word for the guy you're dating
  • You deserve a fucking phone call

An example in the book which i totally love
The "But can i at least yell at him" excuse?

Dear Greg,
I was dating a guy seriously for 3 months when he suddenly disappeared. I didn't hear from him for days. I was worried, so I called his best friend and he told me that my boyfriend got back together with his old girlfriend and moved in with her. I get that he's just not that into me, but don't I get the right to find out how he could do that to me? Don't i get the right to not let him get away with it?

This is what Greg answered. He's the writer anyway...

Dear Just Walk Away,

Sure. Bet guess what. He knows you're going to be pissed. He's a colossal asshole, not an idiot. He played the whole thing out in his head. That's why he just disappeared. What he doesn't know is how quickly you can get over him and his bad behavior. You'll show him that by never talking to him, or his friends, ever again.
P.S: And he's not getting away with anything. Everywhere he goes, he's still the same asshole!

I so love this book. Go get one yourself! It's full of great advice as well as a good laugh....:)

My Saving Grace

The last post of year 2005.
This post is for the One that I trust.........

I've Still Got A Lot To Learn
But,
At Least I Know Where I Can Turn
When I'm In My Times Of Need
Just As Long
As I Know All Things Are Possible
Just As Long As I Believe

I've Loved A Lot
Hurt A Lot
Been Burned A Lot In My Life And Times
Spent Precious Years Wrapped Up In Fear
With No End In Sight
Until My Saving Grace Shined On Me
Until My Saving Grace Set Me Free

Giving Me Peace
Giving Me Strength
When I'd
Almost Lost It All
Catching My Every Fall
I Still Exist Because
You Keep Me Safe
I Found My Saving Grace
Within You

Yes, I've Been Bruised
Grew Up Confused
Been Destitute
I've Seen Life From Many Sides
Been Stigmatized
Been Black And White
Felt Inferior Inside
Until My Saving Grace Shined On Me
Until My Saving Grace Set Me Free

And The Bountiful Things That You Do
For Delivering Me
And Giving me Peace
Giving Me Strength
Giving Me Hope
When I'd
Almost Lost It All
Catching My Every Fall
I Still Exist Because You Keep Me Safe
Always My Saving Grace
Pulls Me Through
I Found My Saving Grace
Within You

Thank you...:)

Ready To Fly

Ohhh...the first time I heard this song was in Body Combat Class at Fitness First, KLCC. The song was used for cool down session. I don't know if I liked the song because of the way the hunky instructor was doing the cool down, sort of like swaying left to right, tai chi, whatever way, in short SEXY to me! ;) But, whatever it is, the lyric is so uplifting and it helps a lot when I hear it and have a mental picture of a hunk!

Ready To Fly by Richard Marx

I've been trying to open the door
To the secret of my destiny
And every new road I think is the one
Seems to lead right back to me

I've looked for a way to be wiser
A way to be strong
Now I see the answer was hiding
In me all along

And I'm ready to fly
Over the sun
Like a rocket to heaven
And I'm ready to soar
Right through the sky
Never dreamed I'd find something to lift me so high
I've always had wings
But I wasn't ready to fly

Restless, hopeless, and misunderstood
Like so many others I know
So busy tryin' to keep holdin' on
When I should've been letting go

I was given the gift to find it
The spirit inside me
But I never really imagined
All I could be

And I'm ready to fly
Over the sun
Like a rocket to heaven
And I'm ready to soar
Right through the sky
Never dreamed I'd find something to lift me so high
I've always had wings
But I wasn't ready to fly

The answer to all of my wonder
Was right in my hands
Now it's time for me to discover
All that I am

And I'm ready to fly
Over the sun
Like a rocket to heaven
And I'm ready to soar
Right through the sky
Never dreamed I'd find something to lift me so high
I've always had wings
But I wasn't ready to fly

I've always had wings
Now I'm finally ready to fly

Old Fashioned?

Back when I was in school, it was a privilege just to even borrow my parent’s hand phone for the weekend. Now, everyone has one. Like no one can live without them. To think of it, I don’t think I can live without it either. Finding out my hp is not in my handbag; I’ll be searching frantically, taking out everything in my bag. And when u realize, u forget to bring your hp, u somehow feel this big space of lost. Maybe someone is trying to get you, a sms from a love one, worst the feeling that you are in no power to contact others.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but have u ever been in the situation above?

Since when did we become so dependent with this gadget?

And now, if you’re between the ages of 17 to say 60, you are likely to own one. And if your working, and you don’t have a hand phone, it’s just weird not having one and your boss will probably ask you to have one.

Now with the Internet, chatting, emails, so many rooms for communication. Save money, its convenient, it’s just great.

For all the advantages to communicate with others, we tend to use it to avoid communication with others too. Ok, hear me. For instance, this guy who likes you keeps calling you, and you sort of don’t know how to say no to him, so to avoid talking to him, you give him a sms explaining your actions. Or, you don’t want to look so cruel, you ask him to meet you online, you chat, and let him know. Or to be more blunt, you write him an email. I really think it’s all avoidance to the right thing to do. You should at least call and tell the truth, or best of all meet up. You’ve seen it on papers, getting divorced by sms, what a load of crap!

I know a guy once told me; maybe he’ll meet me online once in a while and catch up. Well, I don’t know about you, but it’s so not flattering. In fact I felt insulted. With all the other ways to communicate, meet me online? What’s that? Like there’s no other way to communicate? You can call me, or ask me out, now that’s flattering. Girls, if a guy does that to you he’s Obviously Just Not That Into You!

So, yeah, don’t get me wrong. I really like the way things are now. I love having my hand phone, and I so can’t live without the Internet! If the connection is down, I rather not be at work. And if I don’t get to call out for some error or what not, I’ll get really restless. Like when I was away to Oz, I couldn’t sms or call out for I don’t know whatever reason, I got really frustrated for the first few days, after that, hey I’m still OK, alive and kicking! But with all this, I still want to talk, meet up, hang around with people. That’s the real deal. Yeah, u can chat, email, but it’s not the same. I think sometimes we take for granted with the old fashion way. In many ways, I’m still an old fashioned gal. How bout u?

Bullshit

A turkey was chatting with a bull.  "I would love to be able to get to the  top of that

tree," sighed the turkey, but I haven't got the energy."

"Well, why don't you nibble on my droppings?" replied the bull.  "They're packed with

nutrients."  The turkey pecked at a lump of dung and found that  it gave him enough

strength to reach the lowest branch of the tree.  The next day, after eating some

more dung, he reached the second branch.  Finally after a fourth night, there he was

proudly perched at the top of  the tree.  Soon he was spotted by a farmer, who shot

the turkey out of the  tree.

Moral of the story:  Bullshit might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there.

" Be who you are... and say what you feel...

Because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
  "  SO TRUE!!!
